Wind Turbine Electricity for the Home
Wind Turbine Electricity for the Home
As we all know renewable energy sources are becoming extremely important as the prices of our deteriorating fossil fuels continue to rise. How long the existing reserves of oil are going to last is anyone’s guess, but if you listen to the experts we could be out within a couple of decades.
NOW is the time to start taking action whilst time still remains, thankfully the advancement in the renewable energy field of recent times allows us to build our own domestic wind turbines to produce electricity for our homes.
Building small wind turbines to produce electricity for our homes has the potential to not only help the environment but save us thousands on our electricity bills. Wind turbines for our homes are without a doubt the best solution in saving large amounts of money as well as helping the environment.
A great feature I would like to point out with regards to using wind power to produce the electricity for our home is the fact that wind is a renewable energy that can never be in short supply. If you really think about it, it isn’t just the most economical resource in the world it is actually a 100% free energy resource, or in the case of domestic wind turbines free electricity for our homes.
Using a wind turbine to generate electricity in our homes and for free is fantastic but the more important thing to note here is the huge benefits it can have on the environment. It is no secret that utilizing renewable energy to combat the vast variety of environmental issues we have going on in the world is the single most powerful thing we can do.
By now you are probably asking yourself, is this really possible? I can tell you categorically yes, building domestic wind turbines to generate electricity for the suburban home is picking up momentum and FAST as more and more people start to understand the huge benefits it offers to both the hip pocket and the environment.
Can you build a wind turbine at home?
Yes you can, although the whole “homemade wind turbine” market is growing at such a rapid rate there is a huge variety of DIY plans being sold, unfortunately some are being sold by pure marketers and not by renewable energy enthusiasts, so you need to be careful. Michael Harvey’s Earth4Energy is rated the number one step by step guide available today so heading over to his site is a good place to start.
How can I build a domestic wind turbine?
You need a set of plans, it is important you get a blueprint to a proven system that has been put to the test. You need to listen to the other people that are buying this information. As mentioned above Michael Harvey’s Earth4Energy is rated the best in the industry and is a great place to start.
What experience is required to build domestic wind turbines?
You don’t need experience you just need the right plans, wind turbines are basic to make once you have the right step by step plans, and once they are installed they need zero maintenance.
How much do domestic wind turbines cost to make?
You can get all the materials you need for under $200, I have seen ad’s out their suggesting it can be done for under $100 this is false and realistically not possible, those ads are just highly skilled professional marketers making a play for your money, so be careful around the $200 mark is what you will need to spend, possibly a little less but not much less.
How much financially can I really save with a domestic wind turbine?
Every situation is different as there are a number of influencing factors but it is possible and quite common to substitute you whole electricity bill. In fact in many cases money can be made selling the energy back to the electricity companies. As a rule of thumb though you should be able to cut up to 80% off your current electricity bill utilizing a homemade wind turbine
Overall homemade domestic wind turbines are a very feasible alternative to grid power. If you are serious about saving money and more importantly about helping the environment wind turbine electricity is something worth serious consideration.

An Oxford professor recently made a DIY wind turbine and realised that hooking it up to the hot water boiler was unexpected energy efficient. It is counter intuitive, but apparently it works in low winds which makes all the difference.
